Dear Cyber Pilgrim,
Since I am a one-man operation, over time I have found it
much better to build instruments specifically to each person's
requirements instead of trying to keep one of everything on
hand. Fortunately for the customer, he/she gets an instrument
that was made just for them. If you are in the neighborhood,
you can even pick out the wood! Unfortunately, during any
given year I am out of town a good bit, teaching several week-long
instrument building classes and doing historic instrument
music programs, besides building any orders that come in.
Bottom line, all of this means there is usually a 90 - 120
day wait for an instrument. I also ask folks to provide a
50% deposit at the time of the order with the balance due
before shipment. I accept personal checks (allowing time for
them to clear before shipment) and money orders, and have
had very good success shipping my instruments internationally.
Occasionally I will have some inventory, especially on the
smaller instruments, so it doesn't hurt to ask. If you have
any specific questions on the instruments or their availability,
please give me an "e-holler"
or a phone call at (423) 764-3332. I thank you for visiting
the site and for your consideration.
Sincerely in His service,
John Huron, Proprietor, Noteworthy Instruments
