Stanley Hicks' family pattern from Watauga County, North Carolina, as featured in Foxfire 3; built as they were 100 years ago; all wooden pieces including bridge, tailpiece and tuning pegs are handmade; solid brass screws; banjo head is groundhog hide that I tan myself; woods are generally cherry or black walnut; incomparable old-time sound! Shown above - all ash construction with black walnut pegs, bridge and tailpiece.
